It’s a great Seger song, and also my objective yesterday. Flustered and bummed out, I hopped on the bike and rode the LA river path to Compton and back (32 miles). Then I walked the Naples loop (4.13 miles).
At the end of the day, I felt a lot better and I got that outside time in before the rain rolls through. Sure, I missed UPS delivering my writing software that I have been DYING to receive…but I suppose the sacrifice was worth it.
Sometimes you just need to be rolled away.
…I ended up staying in alone with a beer and a laptop, clickity clackiting the keys until laughter pours out of me.
Writing is fun.
I like working with people. I like meeting new people. Generally, I like and enjoy helping people.
Of course, there are always those bitches that have to go and ruin it for everyone. Come at me with your selfish and rotten attitude and I will dislike you forever. Drastic as that may be, it’s true. Unfortunately this weekend I had to deal with a particularly rotten B, and I am thanking my lucky stars that I have a brand new week to cleanse my life of the experience.
My man also sat me down and told me that he doesn’t want me to become complacent, that I am bound for greatness and to keep working on the writing projects - so I am, hardcore.
No more waiting. I actually spent $270 on Final Draft finally, and I am going to really start rolling. This month we will be filming a bunch of stuff too, so April should be effin out of control.
I just need to tune out the noise around me and focus.
